A 200 kW «Packaged Modular Compressor Unit” (MCU-001) based on a single ICL motor-driven compressor with variable frequency drive (VFD) (manufactured by Thermodyn, France) is being manufactured at the production site of INGC Company in Perm. The modular compressor unit has been ordered by Gazprom-Snabzhenie LLC and will be delivered to a facility of Gazpromneft - Noyabrskneftegaz Company in Noyabrsk (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug), where it will be thoroughly tested.
In December Thermodyn plant (France) performed checkup testing of the ICL compressor, which was witnessed by specialists of INGC LLC and PJSC Gazprom Neft. The single ICL motor-driven compressor is a component of the MCU, which is intended for compression of low pressure gases.
This project could mark the beginning of a program of mass production of analogous MCUs of various power ranges, which can be utilized in fields with depleting reserves and are promising as an option alternative to currently available costly screw compressor-based MCU solutions having some major disadvantages compared to the solution developed by specialists of INGC LLC.
